About Love Thy Neighbor
Our Mission
Founded in the small town of Viburnum, Missouri, Love Thy Neighbor (LTN) is a testament to what unity and faith can achieve. Born from the hearts of the First Baptist Church of Viburnum congregation, LTN has blossomed into a multi-denominational, construction-based ministry with a simple yet profound mission: “We do for others what they can’t do for themselves because Jesus did for us what we can’t do for ourselves.” This initiative reflects our belief in serving our community, embodying Jesus’ teachings through action.
Our Journey
From our humble beginnings in 2014, with just 55 volunteers and a vision, Love Thy Neighbor has grown exponentially. Now celebrating our 10th anniversary, we have seen our volunteer force swell to 181 dedicated individuals in 2023. Our efforts have brought tangible improvements to homes and fostered a unique sense of unity among local churches, transcending denominational lines for a common cause. The concept and structure have been adopted in towns across Missouri, with seven towns in 2024 hosting their own Love Thy Neighbor mission projects.

All work done for homeowners is provided 100% free of charge and your support enables us to continue our work.
